What the resume parser pulls out
Each resume becomes one row in the sheet. These are the columns:
- Name, phone number, email and LinkedIn link
- City the candidate lives in
- Current job title and company
- Total years of full-time work, worked out from the job dates if the resume does not say
- Notice period, current CTC and expected CTC, if the resume gives them
- Highest degree, college and year of passing
- Up to 10 skills, the most important first
- The file name, so you can find the resume again
How to use it
Save the resumes you want to sort into one folder. They can come from your inbox, a job board or LinkedIn. Then:
- Drop up to 25 files on the box above, or click it to choose them
- Wait a few seconds for each resume to be read
- Check the table. A cell is blank when the resume does not have that detail
- Click Download Excel. Sort by experience or filter by notice period to make your shortlist
What happens to your files
Your files are opened in your browser, not uploaded. Only the text of each resume is sent to our AI model so it can read it. Goodfit does not save the text, the files or the results, and neither Goodfit nor its AI providers train models on them.
The Excel file is made in your browser too. If you close the page before you download it, the results are gone.
Resume parser vs an applicant tracking system
A resume parser only reads resumes and puts the details in rows. An applicant tracking system (ATS) also keeps every candidate in one place and tracks them from application to offer.
If you get a few dozen resumes for a role, a sheet is often enough. If you hire for many roles every month, an ATS saves you from keeping many sheets up to date.

The sheet helps you decide who to talk to first. It cannot tell you how a candidate explains things, handles a hard customer or solves a problem. That needs an interview.
Goodfit calls every applicant or sends them a browser link, asks the same questions and gives each one a score out of 10. Every score links to the recording and the transcript, so you call back only the best.
