Goodfit records your Google Meet and Teams interviews

A participant named Goodfit Interview Assistant joins the call and listens. It never speaks, and its camera and mic stay off. A few minutes after the call ends, the video, the transcript and the scores are on the candidate’s page.

Add the assistant when you book, or invite it like a guest

When you schedule in Goodfit, the Record and AI evaluation switch is already on. Goodfit creates the Meet or Teams link and adds the assistant to the invite. If you book from your own calendar, add assistant@apply.goodfit.so as a guest. If you move or cancel the event, the assistant follows the calendar.

Candidates are told the interview will be recorded

The calendar invite says the interview is recorded and transcribed. When the assistant joins, it posts a short message in the meeting chat and shows up by name in the list of people on the call. After the interview, candidates can rate it from 1 to 10. They never see the recording, the transcript or your scores.

Each line shows who spoke and when, using the names from the call. Search for a word and every line that has it lights up. Click any line and the video jumps to that moment. Interviews that switch between two languages are transcribed too.

Goodfit writes the strengths, concerns and questions for the next round

Goodfit reads the transcript against the skills listed on the job and scores each one out of 10. It also lists what went well and what worried it, each tied to a line in the call. If a skill never came up, Goodfit leaves it out instead of guessing.

Questions teams ask about Interview Assistant

Which meeting platforms does it work with?
Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. When your Google or Microsoft calendar is connected, Goodfit creates the meeting link for you.
What name does it join under?
It joins as “Goodfit Interview Assistant”, so everyone on the call can see it in the participant list.
Do I need to connect a calendar?
No. Without one, Goodfit opens a calendar invite with the assistant already added as a guest. Connecting Google Calendar or a Microsoft calendar lets Goodfit create the event and keep it in sync when you reschedule.
Can I record a meeting I set up outside Goodfit?
Yes. Invite assistant@apply.goodfit.so to the calendar event, or paste the Meet or Teams link on the candidate’s card.
Are candidates told they are being recorded?
Yes. The invite says the interview is recorded, and the assistant posts a message in the meeting chat when it joins. It also shows by name in the participant list.
Does the AI decide who moves forward?
No. Its advance, hold or reject suggestion is advice. A person on your team always makes the decision.
Can interviewers from outside our company give feedback?
Yes. Each interviewer gets a private link that works without a Goodfit account. Their vote and notes appear on the candidate’s page.
Who can see the recording?
Only people on your team with access to that candidate. Candidates never see the recording, the transcript, the scores or your notes.
Does it handle interviews in two languages?
Yes. The transcript follows the speakers when they switch between languages during the call.
Does each interview round keep its own recording?
