How much does TestGorilla cost in 2026?

TestGorilla shows its prices on its pricing page. We read it on October 21, 2026. The assessment product has three plans. Free costs $0 and gives 10 credits a month. Core starts at $215 a month and Plus starts at $520 a month, both billed yearly. The page says you save 25% by paying yearly.

The pricing page does not say how many credits Core and Plus include. Hiretruffle, a competing vendor, checked the same page in October 2026. It reports that Core is $2,580 a year for 750 credits, and Plus is $6,240 a year for 2,000 credits. It also reports Core at $287 a month on monthly billing, with 50 credits a month.

TestGorilla also sells Gorilla Sourcing, a separate product for finding candidates. It is priced per seat, from $74 a month billed yearly. You only need it if you want TestGorilla to find people for you.

What does a TestGorilla credit pay for?

Each candidate uses credits. The pricing page lists 1 credit per candidate for premium skills tests and for video questions. AI interviews and job simulations cost 2 credits per candidate.

On Core, if you use all 750 credits, each candidate costs about $3.44. On Plus, an AI interview costs about $6.24 if you use all 2,000 credits. If you use fewer, each one costs more. Hiretruffle reports that unused credits do not roll over to the next year.

Why do teams look for TestGorilla alternatives?

Most teams that switch have one of these reasons. Check which one is yours, because it decides which tool fits.

  • Yearly commitment. Paid plans are priced for yearly billing. If you hire in bursts, credits you buy in January can go unused by December.
  • Price per candidate. At low volume, a yearly plan costs more per candidate than tools that charge only for the people you test.
  • Coding depth. Teams that mostly hire engineers often want a tool built only for coding tests.
  • Hearing the candidate. A multiple-choice score shows what someone picked. For sales, support and store roles, many teams also want to hear how a person talks through a problem.

What are the best TestGorilla alternatives?

We checked each tool’s own pricing page on October 21, 2026. HackerRank’s pricing page did not load for us, so its price comes from a dated public report. Most tools on this list, including Goodfit, sell products that compete with TestGorilla. Ask each vendor for a written quote before you budget.

Which TestGorilla alternative fits your hiring?

You want the same kind of tool. Testlify is the closest match. It lists over 3,500 tests and a 7-day free trial with no card. Its starter plan costs less a year than TestGorilla Core, $1,668 against $2,580, but it includes only 100 credits. At more than 100 candidates a year, check the cost per candidate. Adaface is cheaper for small teams, with plans from $180 a year and a library of over 500 tests.

You hire in bursts and hate unused credits. TestDome sells packs of candidates with no subscription, and unused credits never expire. Goodfit credits never expire either.

You mostly hire engineers. TestDome and HackerRank are built for coding tests. Our coding assessment platforms guide compares the main options in more detail.

You want cognitive and personality tests. Criteria sells cognitive, personality, emotional intelligence and skills tests, along with video interviews. Prices come from sales.

You want candidates to do the job. Vervoe and Canditech build tests around real work tasks. Vervoe grades answers with AI. Canditech adds video questions.

You want to hear how candidates think. Goodfit holds a spoken interview by phone call or browser link and asks follow-up questions. Testlify also offers AI phone interviews, billed at $0.18 a minute on top of its plan.

Is TestGorilla cheaper than Goodfit?

It depends on how many candidates you test. If you use every credit on TestGorilla Core, each candidate costs about $3.44. That is less than Goodfit’s $5. Core costs $2,580 a year whether you test 750 people or 75. Goodfit costs the same as Core at about 516 candidates a year. Below that, Goodfit costs less.

For interviews, compare with TestGorilla Plus, since Core has no AI interviews. An AI interview there costs about $6.24 if you use all 2,000 credits. On Goodfit, 1,000 finished interviews cost $5,000, with no yearly plan. For more prices across interview tools, see our AI interview software pricing guide.

Who should stay with TestGorilla?

TestGorilla is a good choice if you test steady numbers of candidates each month and use most of your credits. Its library is wide, it covers many roles in one place, and the Free plan works well if you hire only a few people a year. If that sounds like you, staying may cost less than switching.

Where does Goodfit fit?

Goodfit suits teams that hire for sales, support, store and other roles where how someone talks matters. Goodfit calls each candidate or sends a browser link, at any hour. It asks follow-up questions based on each answer. You get the recording, the transcript and a score out of 10 for each skill, with the candidate’s own words next to each score.

Skill tests, typing tests, coding tests and personality tests come with the same credit. Candidates take the test and the interview from one link. You pay $5 for each finished assessment, with no seat fees and no yearly contract. Interviews where the candidate is connected for less than 2 minutes are free.

Goodfit is not the right pick if you only need a quick multiple-choice check and never need to hear the candidate speak. For a feature-by-feature look, see Goodfit vs TestGorilla.
